There’s too much Gibson in these Democratic debates. He didn’t interject half as much as the GOP debates.
Hillary threw down the ugly early on and unless she gets a chance to do more talking and soften that, that’s going to be the lead on her tomorrow.
Edwards siding with Obama and attacking Clinton was probably the surprise of the night. The media outlets all day long have talked about how Edwards and Clinton were going to hit Obama hard. It was obvious that stung her bad.
Richardson showed his VP credentials heavily. I don’t think he’s presidential at all, but he’s showed his negotiator side several times tonight. I think that his statements take a lot of wind out of Obama sails, but we’ll see.
He’s the only one to mention education and green energy. It’s pisses me off to no end that Obama and Edwards rarely talk about these things.
Still on everything, the Democrats on the stage tonight all basically said, “We, as Americans need to pull together and do this.” At least they’re realistic about the fact that we need to raise taxes to pay for this. I understand that there are a lot of issues facing this country and that they can’t touch on everything. I’m not one of those blind-spot Democrats who think that my issues are the only important issues. Still, I do wish they’d talk more on the “little” things that will effect our country deeply, at every economic and age level, things like education and global warming.
